but not in National Parks. Recently the department of conservation removed the sheep from this particular park.
Sheep are everywhere in NZ, both north and south island. We have seen all varieties, white, off white, black, and white and black. We have even been on hiking trails with them. Most of the sheep are Merino and NZ woolen goods are superb. NZ has over 45 million sheep. It is on most menus no matter where you go to eat.
