Te Papa

Early Thursday we hiked up to Mt. Victoria where we had a birds-eye view of the city. Pedestrian stairways cut thru the rows of houses on a steep hill overlooking the harbor. We have great view of Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum. Te Papa means "our place". The exhibit are varied: art, NZ history, science and natural history. Today we are lucky enough to see a visiting exhibit of Monet's paintings from the Fine Arts Museum of Boston. But most of the museum is devoted to all things New Zealand.
