Weka

We see a strange bird with a body like a chicken, but a head like a duck. It is flightless like the Kiwi but very bold. The department of conservation is trying to save this bird from introduced predators like the stoat, rat and house cat. It reminds us of the Moa or Polynesian fowl that are in Hawaii. I wonder if they taste like chicken? ;)
